The 80s was a decade of great cartoons. Cartoons like The Transformers, G.I. Joe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were just a few of the great cartoons that were popular during that time. What made these cartoons so great was their ability to appeal to both kids and adults. The Transformers, for example, were robots that could transform into vehicles, which allowed them to appeal to kids who loved cars and trucks. Created in 1985, Thunder Cats was an animated television series produced by Rankin/Bass Productions and Lorimar-Telepictures. G.I Joe 

G.i Joe was the cartoon that I watched every morning before school. I never missed an episode. Even now, when I watch it, it brings back a lot of memories from my childhood. It was about a team of American special forces who fought against the evil Cobra organization. Each character had their own unique personality and skillset that made them invaluable to the team. Gung-ho, Flint, Scarlett, and Duke were my favorites.  The smurfs

The Smurfs are a race of small, blue creatures that first appeared in a Belgian comic strip in 1958. They live in a village in the forest and are always happy and cheerful. The Smurfs are led by Papa Smurf, who is the smartest and wisest of all the Smurfs. Other notable Smurfs include Brainy Smurf, Vanity Smurf, and Handy Smurf.
The Smurfs have appeared in several television shows and movies over the years. The most popular show was "The Smurfs" which aired from 1981 to 1989. A new movie featuring the smurfs is set to be released in August 2017.

Silver hawks is an animated American television series that first aired in syndication on September 7, 1986. The show was produced by Rankin/Bass Productions. Silver Hawks tells the story of a team of advanced fighter pilots who defend the planet Terra from the evil Scarab Empire. Pac man

The Pac-Man cartoon was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and aired on ABC from September 18, 1982 to October 7, 1983. The show revolved around the adventures of Pac-Man and his family as they defended their home from the ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. While the show was short-lived, it has developed a cult following in the years since its cancellation.

Pac-man was born on July 15, 1980, as an 8-bit arcade game. It was designed by Japanese video game designer Toru Iwatani and programmed by Hideyuki Mokajima. The game was published by Namco. Pac-Man is often described as one of the most successful video games of all time.
The objective of the game is to guide the title character, Pac-Man, through a maze to eat all the dots in the maze while avoiding four ghosts: Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. When all the dots are eaten, Pac-Man moves to the next stage. Between stages, there is a bonus round in which players can collect power pellets that turn the ghosts blue. Heathcliff and the catillac cats

Heathcliff made his debut in the 1980s as a supporting character on the show The Garfield Show. He would later get his own series, Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats.
Heathcliff is a streetwise alley cat who lives in a junkyard with his friends Riff-Raff, Mungo, and Ogie. The Catillac Cats are a gang of cats who drive around in a tricked-out Cadillac. The show is full of wacky adventures and slapstick humor.
