Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) beef steak (sirloin or tenderloin), sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice (for serving)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Sear the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
3. Make the sauce: Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stirring to combine. Gradually add beef broth, stirring continuously, until thickened. Add Worcestershire sauce.
4. Combine: Lower the heat, stir in sour cream, and return the beef to the skillet. Mix well and heat through.
5. Serve: Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
