Farming 20 Divine Orbs without spending real money or needing to buy PoE 2 currency might sound impossible at first, but with the right strategy and game knowledge, it’s absolutely doable. I want to share my personal experience and step-by-step method, which helped me reach this goal over a few focused days of playing Path of Exile 2.
The most important thing I learned early on was that understanding PoE 2 currency and how to make it work for you is key. You don’t have to spend real money to succeed, though some players prefer to buy PoE 2 currency to save time. Personally, I wanted to challenge myself and see how far I could get on my own. Here's how I did it.
1. Focus on High-Value Content: Delirium Mirrors & Expedition
Delirium mirrors are one of the best farming mechanics right now. Every time I entered a Delirium map, I made sure I was running with maxed-out monsters and juice. I used Scarabs (especially Rusted and Gilded ones) and added Delirium Orbs to increase monster density and drops. One map could easily net 2-3 Divine Orbs’ worth of loot if done right.
Expedition is another goldmine. I prioritized Logbooks over regular Expedition encounters, since Logbooks allow full control over the rewards. When possible, I chose Runic Monsters that dropped currency. Essences, Chaos Orbs, and even Raw Divine Orbs popped up frequently.
2. Atlas Tree Setup for Currency
I customized my Atlas Passive Tree to boost currency drops and maximize my return per map. I invested in nodes like:
Amplified Energies (for Delirium)
Rich Veins (for strongboxes)
Secret Operations (for strongbox duplication)
Torn Veil (for Harbingers, another currency source)
Mapping with these nodes meant every map was packed with loot. Most importantly, I never ran low-tier maps. I stuck to T14+ for better returns, always with quality mods like “Monsters drop additional Currency Items.”
3. Vendor Recipes & Chaos Recipes
While mapping, I picked up rare gear between item levels 60-74 for Chaos Recipes. I also paid attention to valuable vendor recipes like 6-socket items for Jeweller’s Orbs, which I sold for Chaos. Over time, these small gains added up fast.
4. Flipping & Crafting Low-Budget Items
I used a few cheap essences like Essence of Greed and Essence of Wrath to craft basic gear that appealed to early-game players. I priced them fairly in my stash tab, and many sold quickly. Using this method, I didn’t need to buy PoE 2 currency to gear up—I let my gear earn the currency instead.
5. Use of Trading & U4GM Once for Benchmarking
I only visited u4gm once, not to buy but to check real-time PoE 2 currency prices. It helped me set fair prices in my own stash. Knowing how much Divine Orbs or Exalted Orbs were worth made trading with other players much easier and more profitable.
6. Hot Currencies to Watch For
During this journey, the most valuable and frequently traded PoE 2 currency types were:
Divine Orbs (main goal)
Exalted Orbs
Chaos Orbs
Orb of Annulment
Essence of Hysteria (great for crafting profit)
Awakened Sextants (helpful for juicing maps)
You don’t need to buy PoE 2 currency to succeed. If you plan your farming route, invest time into understanding game mechanics, and optimize your Atlas Tree and loot targets, you can farm like a pro. The key is consistency and knowing which content gives the best return. With some dedication, you can go from Chaos to Divine in just a few days—just like I did.
