These boots were originally intended for fishing, hunting and for exploring Maine woods, and they remain as such today. The bottoms of their boots are made from thermoplastic rubber to provide high-quality cracking and leak resistance at the LL Bean Lewiston factory in Maine; uppers are attached with rubber cement glue prior to being permanently sewn using waxed threads in three rows, with the famous LL Bean logo stamped onto the heel of each.
