In ARC Raiders Items, the Jump Mine Trial can look confusing at first because “Jump Mine” is not actually a separate piece of equipment. It is another name used for the regular Explosive Mine. The different wording between the weekly Trials and the equipment menu has led some players to believe they need to unlock a special blueprint, but that is not the case.
The basic scoring rule makes this challenge much easier to understand. Every point of damage dealt to an ARC by an Explosive Mine is converted into five Trial points. Because of this multiplier, the goal should not simply be placing as many mines as possible. The real objective is to make each explosion hit an exposed weak spot.
ARC machines have armor that can significantly reduce incoming damage. Dropping a mine directly onto protected armor usually gives disappointing results. Instead, you should first remove the armor or damage a joint until a vulnerable area becomes exposed. A mine placed on that exposed section can produce a much better score.
If your main goal is getting three stars without dealing with a dangerous large ARC, the Water Treatment method is one of the easiest approaches.
For this setup, bring one Explosive Mine and three Snitch Scanners. A Lure Grenade is optional and can help with positioning. Head to Water Treatment and locate the narrow metal platform or walkway that connects the upper section with three entrance gates.
Place your mine near the center of this narrow platform. Then throw the three Snitch Scanners onto the mine or toward the space directly above it. The scanners can cause WASP or HORNET ARC drones to appear. Because the platform is so confined, the drones can become stuck in the area instead of moving away from the explosion.
When the setup works correctly, the ARC takes the full mine explosion. A single successful attempt can generate roughly 4,000 to 5,000 or more Trial points, which is enough to make the three-star target much more manageable.
The safer method is useful for completing the Trial, but it is not the best option if you want an extremely high score. Players chasing roughly 18,000 to 26,000 or more points can target large ARC machines such as Shredder, Bombardier, and Bastion.
This approach takes more preparation because these enemies are considerably more dangerous. You need enough explosives for repeated attempts while also finding a location where you can safely attack and retreat.
The Cautious Augment can be useful for this strategy because carrying additional supplies gives you more flexibility during a longer encounter. Staying near suitable cover is also important, especially when working around the Hatch area.
Against a large ARC, do not rush forward and throw the mine immediately. First, use heavy weapons to focus on one leg joint or another vulnerable section. Your goal is to strip away protection and force the machine into a disabled or downed state.
Once the ARC falls or exposes its vulnerable area, move in quickly and place the mine directly on the exposed joint or power core. This timing is the most important part of the high-score strategy.
A successful explosion against an exposed weak point can generate far more Trial progress than several poorly positioned mines against armored sections. Good preparation therefore matters more than simply carrying a large number of explosives.
Experienced players often use four mines against a large ARC when trying to maximize efficiency. This approach saves resources but requires accurate placement and good timing.
If you are still learning the encounter, five mines offer more room for error. Having an extra explosive can make the attempt less stressful and gives you another opportunity if the first placement is slightly off.
The choice ultimately depends on your confidence with the target. Efficient players can aim for four, while newer players may benefit from the additional safety of five.
The best way to approach this Trial depends on the score you want. Water Treatment is a practical choice for a controlled three-star completion, while large ARC targets provide a much higher ceiling for players willing to take greater risks.
Regardless of the method, the same principle remains important: expose the ARC's weak point before detonating the mine. Careful positioning, good use of cover, and proper timing can turn the Trial from a frustrating challenge into a predictable scoring run.
For players preparing for repeated attempts, having enough ARC Raiders Materials for sale available can make it easier to maintain the required supplies and return to the Trial without unnecessary delays.
