Last night, I decided to try Breach chain running in Path of Exile 2 for the first time. I wasn’t expecting much—just wanted to farm a few maps, maybe get lucky with some mid-tier loot. But on my very first full chain, boom! A Divine Orb dropped right at the end of the last Breach. It was one of those moments where you just stare at the screen for a few seconds in shock, then rush to pick it up before anything goes wrong.
If you're new to farming PoE 2 currency, Breach chains can be a hidden goldmine. They’re not only fun and fast-paced, but they can also be one of the most efficient ways to get high-value drops like Chaos Orbs, Exalted Orbs, and even Divine Orbs. Let me walk you through what I did and how you can do it too—whether you're looking to buy PoE 2 currency or earn it yourself.
Step 1: Map Setup for Breach Chains
Start by choosing maps that are high density and support Breach mechanics. I went with T14+ maps and used a Sextant that adds additional Breaches. Make sure you use the Breach Scarab (any tier will do, but Polished or Gilded Breach Scarabs give better results). Roll your maps with Alchemy Orbs and look for modifiers that increase pack size—this is important because the more mobs, the more loot.
Step 2: Atlas Passives for Breach Focus
Your Atlas Passive Tree is crucial. Allocate every node that boosts Breach rewards, spawn rate, and duration. The “Probing for Weaknesses” and “Flash Breach” nodes are especially powerful. They help your Breach hands spawn faster and stay open longer, giving you more mobs to kill and more chances to earn PoE 2 currency.
Step 3: Gear for Speed and Clear
To effectively run Breach chains, use a build that has excellent movement speed and area damage. I’m using a Lightning Arrow Deadeye that clears fast and can deal with large mobs without getting overwhelmed. If you're still gearing up, consider buying PoE 2 items that boost AoE and survivability—they make a huge difference in Breach content.
Step 4: Inventory Management and Loot Filtering
Use a strict loot filter so you don’t waste time clicking on low-value items. Always keep your eyes open for Breach-specific uniques, splinters, and of course, currency drops. This is where I saw my Divine Orb, alongside several stacks of Chaos Orbs and Splinters of Esh and Tul. After one session, I ended up with about 60 Chaos Orbs, 1 Divine Orb, and enough splinters to make a full Breachstone.
Pro Tip: Sell and Stack Efficiently
If you don’t want to deal with trading or the grind, there’s always the option to buy PoE 2 currency through trusted sites. I’ve used u4gm before and had a solid experience—it’s fast, safe, and reliable. That being said, learning to farm currency yourself is incredibly satisfying, especially when a lucky drop turns your whole session around.
Final Thoughts
Breach chain running isn’t just a high-risk, high-reward mechanic—it’s an adrenaline-pumping way to earn valuable PoE 2 currency quickly. With the right setup, passive tree, and gear, even your first run can surprise you like mine did. So whether you’re grinding maps or looking to buy PoE 2 currency to upgrade your build, Breach farming is absolutely worth trying this league.
Good luck, and may your next Breach end with a Divine too!
